Grateful Mondays #5: 10/16/17 - Crafty determined wives and upcoming vacations

Every Monday, my wife and I will take this time to reflect through all the weekly struggles, frustrations, screaming children, unplanned expenses, surprise bills, disappointing date nights, speeding tickets, challenging co-workers, and whatever else the week throws our way to highlight what we're both grateful for.

This Monday, October 16th, 2017, I'm grateful for:

HIM

1. Having never touched a leaky pipe in her life, my wife tired of waiting around for her husband to put hands on this brand new garbage disposal he was supposed to DONE BEEN install for over a week now, installed it her damn self. With my mother and YouTube at her side, she simply got the job done. Definitely reminds me of one of the many reasons I wanted to marry her.

2. In one week we're celebrating my brother's RETIREMENT in Denver, CO! I can't wait. It's the vaca all of us need, and we have the honor of honoring my big brother for serving his country through three different tours of duty. Grateful for friendship and brotherhood.

HER

1. Sleep...kind of.  Over the last few days, the little lady has been pretty much sleeping through the night only waking once around 2 or 4.  She goes to bed at 7 pm so this has been HUUUUGE!! While I haven't truly enjoyed getting sleep (I've been staying up late), its a relief to see things are finally heading in the direction of more sleep for this tired mama.

2. Family. I'm so thankful that our kids have aunts, uncles and grandparents who not only have their best interest at heart but actually look forward to spending time with them. I hear so many stories where family is so uninvolved or they spend time with certain children but not others.  Our kids are loved by everyone and that fills my heart.

Well that's us. Your turn. What are you grateful for this week?
